Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I see mycompliancereport.com when I click on the link to make a report?

MyComplianceReport is a web-based portal supported by our third-party vendor, Ethico. It is a confidential reporting tool that enables all Torc personnel (and members of the public) to report safety or integrity violations, harassment, retaliation, or any other type of misconduct. Mycompliancereport.com is the platform that Ethico uses to log and track the confidential reports made to Torcreporting.com.

May I report using either the Internet or the telephone?

Yes. The Torc Reporting Line accepts reports through both the phone or internet. The website is TorcReporting.com. The toll free phone number in the US and Canada is 800-611-5219. The toll free number in Germany is 0800 1800672.

Are the web form and phone line the same thing?

They are two different methods of reporting, and reports submitted using either method are routed the same way. The Torc Reporting Line is an all-inclusive term and refers to both methods of reporting.

Can I remain anonymous if reporting through the TORC Robotics Reporting Line?

Yes. The Torc Reporting Line does not attempt to identify reporters, whether you submit a report by phone or internet. You may choose to remain anonymous or provide your name and contact information. Each report is assigned a report number and each reporter is asked to create a password in case they would like to log back in and check the progress of their report or communicate with members of the investigation team. Both the report ID and password are needed to log back in.

What types of situations should I report?

Any questions or concerns regarding actual or potential violations of laws or regulations, Torc or Daimler Truck policies or procedures, the Torc Employee Handbook, or the Daimler Code of Conduct should be reported. Additionally, any safety-related concerns can be submitted through this line.

Should I be concerned about retaliation

Torc has a policy prohibiting retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith, even if the allegations are later unsubstantiated. If you believe you've been retaliated against, you should file a report to let us know.

What information do I need to provide in my report?

The investigation team needs as much detail as possible concerning the matter in order to facilitate a thorough review. Insufficient or incomplete information may result in an inability to substantiate the report. If reporting by phone, answer all the questions you're asked as thoroughly as possible. If reporting electronically, complete all applicable fields. Be prepared to include the following information:

  • First and last name of person(s) or organization(s) engaged in alleged wrongdoing.
  • Description of the event including the date, time, and location.
  • Specific details of the concerns being raised.
  • Names of any witnesses or anyone who may have knowledge of the reported event.
  • How the event was discovered, especially if you were not a witness or directly involved.

Supporting documentation, if any is available, may be uploaded when submitting a report electronically.

Where do these reports go? Who can access them?

Reports made through the Torc Reporting Line are maintained on the Ethico secure server. A very limited number of employees on Torc's investigation team can access these reports. These employees are specially trained to handle complex and sensitive matters in a confidential manner. Reports are not shared verbatim with witnesses or subjects.

How long will the investigation take?

Each report made to the Torc Reporting Line is unique, and the estimated time for completing an investigation depends on the complexity of the issue, including the number of people involved, the nature and extent of documentation or evidence available, and the urgency of the issue.

How do I get updates from investigators? How do I share additional details? How do I know the outcome of my report?

You can click on the "Follow-up" link on the TorcReporting.com homepage to ask for an update, provide answers to follow up questions, or provide additional information. Remember to write down your report ID and password to log back into your report.

What does "confidentiality" mean? Is it the same as "anonymity?"

Confidentiality applies to information related to an investigation. Confidentiality means that members of the investigation team will not disclose information to any individuals outside of a "need to know" standard. This includes information received, discovered, or accessed during an investigation.

Anonymity applies to an individual. Anonymity means that individuals may report a concern through the reporting line without disclosing their identity. Investigations will be conducted without attempting to discover the identity of the reporter.

Please note that:

  • There are circumstances in which confidentiality and anonymity may not be maintained, such as disclosure pursuant to a subpoena, a court order, or lawful discovery request, or a disclosure necessary to resolve a potential compliance matter.
  • Reporters may choose to release their identity during or after a completed investigation.
  • Identifying information about a reporter, if provided, will be retained by the investigation team in accordance with Torc's records retention policies.
  • Information shared through the Reporting Line may inadvertently lead to the identification of the reporter, depending on the specific details provided or discovered during the investigation.
